Susan, Izzy, Alex and I are doing a 5k walk/run in honor of my brother, Andy Hyman. I would love friends and family to either run with us (click here to register bit.ly/2baOotU) or contribute money to my goal (click the “donate” button on this page).
Didi Hirsch was incredibly helpful to me after Andy died, and I want to help them continue the tireless work they do both preventing suicide, and helping those who have been affected by suicide.
Every 13 minutes, someone dies by suicide in the United States and another 25 people attempt it. Many individuals suffer in silence. But when a person in crisis needs someone to listen and respond, Didi Hirsch's Suicide Prevention Center is there to help.
The event will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at La Tijera Parkway in Los Angeles. More than 2,000 will come together to raise money and awareness. All proceeds benefit the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center.
Andy was determined to improve the lives of the disadvantaged. To learn more about his tireless work bringing healthcare to the underserved, below are some links to tributes, future grants in Andy's name, and a letter of condolence from President Bill Clinton. Your support means the world to me. Thank you.
