Joseph Andrew Bazaldua was born July 30, 1991 and immediately began to conquer the hearts of everyone around him. He soon became the big brother to two sisters and successfully took the role of their protector. Joe had a smile that could light up an entire room and a heart that loved intensely. Our world was turned upside down on August 8, 2017 when we lost our dear Joe.

Joseph was competitive and dedicated. These skills facilitated his success in sports including track and basketball. Joseph was an amazing track athlete who set many individual records and who led his team to win countless medals. He became the captain of a local basketball team. It was amazing to watch him soar and run countless times across the court. He laughed tirelessly while he played and practiced, inspiring many of his teammates to attend daily practices.

At the time of his passing he was the father to 3-year-old Rey, 2-year-old Lanny and 4-month-old Lucy. He always narrated the future he wanted for his children. He wanted to attend their games, school plays and chaperone his daughter’s prom. He had many plans, hopes and dreams that were never realized and left everyone who knew him unable to accept the fact that he would not fulfill them. He was a young father with many ambitions who suffered from depression and anxiety that tragically ended his life.

We walk to raise awareness, so that children will not grow up without a father, mothers will not lose their sons and daughters, sisters will not lose their brothers and so that the world not lose individuals with so much potential. Joseph Andrew Bazaldua we walk because you will remain always in our hearts.
